Awards Show Awards 2011: Best Dressed

Justin Bieber showed up at a lot of awards shows in 2011.
This picture includes probably three-quarters of them.

Justin Bieber was at so many awards shows in 2011 it was like his own mini tour. Having a hard time booking Bieber? Put together an awards show. That kid is helpless to resist a red carpet and a featured musical number.
Whether he really cared this year about the MTV Europe Awards, the Critics Choice Awards, and the Georgia Music Hall of Fame ceremony, he went out of his way to look good wherever he showed up. And while this Keith Haring leather jacket might look like it belongs on the 1991 version of Vanilla Ice, he never went over the line into Gaga territory.
Speaking of Lady Gaga, let's talk about what she's done to awards show red carpets. She's turned them into a weird-off between herself, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, and whatever other pop starlet shows up on a red carpet with an urgent need for more press. That's probably assigning her more blame than she deserves, but the recent trend toward going crazytown on clothes designs definitely makes Beyonce and Rihanna stand out for the right reasons.
But this year the red carpet belonged to Bieber. He went classy in a white tux at the Grammys. He went cool in a denim vest at the BET Awards, and he went goofy at the Critics Choice Awards where he interviewed people while wearing a fake mustache! Our personal favorite was when he accesorized with a snake named Johnson at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Congratulations, Justin Bieber. You are the first recipient of Zimbio's Awards Show Award for Best Dressed. Next year we'll be renting out the Motel Six and holding a makeshift ceremony with a cardboard podium and a pot luck gift basket. We'll expect you to be there.
